Shall/Will was an exhibition of new work created by artists during the Artists Access to Art College Scheme (AA2A) at Camberwell and Chelsea Colleges of Art, 2011.
The design process was informed by the indeterminate differences between the definition of the words "shall" and "will". Both words serve as an expression of future plans, yet in contemporary American English, "shall" has almost completely disappeared, giving rise to it's more direct replacement, "will". This is exemplified by Barack Obama's election campaign speeches, where the word "will" is used repeatedly, and the word "shall" is never used. Both this vagueness of definition and Obama's use provided points of reference for the design. The overlay of the words form the logotype on the title page, and the colour palette is a reference to the now famous Barack Obama election campaign posters produced by Shepard Fairey.
Shall/Will was held at Camberwell Space in the spring of 2011, and the publication design was led by Oliver Chapman, and designed by Louis Carter, Paul Hardman and Freddy Williams. Printed with offset-litho in three colours, it folds out into an A2 poster on the front, and the back displaying artists’ images and biographies.

Book launch for I used to be a design student, created by Brighten the Corners, Frank Philipin and Billy Kiosoglou. The launch takes place at Camberwell College of Arts where the inspiration began after a workshop led by Brighten the Corners for the BA Graphic Design students, which looked at the relationship between their student work and their development into professional practice. Le Fil presents his debut solo show 'Pop Sculpture: The Filosophy of Making', which will bring the spectacle of pop music into the art gallery context. Camberwell Space will be transformed into a multi-disciplinary platform ready for a pop sculptural reinvention. 'Pop Sculpture' features new songs, ceramics and sculptures created by Le Fil during his art residency at Vanguard Court Studios in Peckham.
